Candida Diet Recipes
Trying to find decent recipes for a candida diet can prove to be quite a daunting task. Ironically however, this is simply because the most effective candida diets are actually very simple diets, with the majority of them only requiring a few basic ingredients.
Remember, candida is for the most part kept in check by other bacteria in the body, and it’s only when it begins multiplying out of control that it starts to cause problems. Only when the levels of candida reach a certain point, and you begin experiencing symptoms, would you be considered as being yeast intolerant.
Which Foods Should You Avoid?
The best way to start dealing with this problem is by changing your current diet to a candida diet. This change would require you to remove yeast from your diet by avoiding foods which contain large amounts of yeast, such as fermented foods, sugars, and cheese.
Other foods which are high in yeast include the following:
- Bread
- Rolls
- Pastries
- Pretzels
- Cookies
In fact, almost all bread-like foods contain plenty of yeast, as does vinegar. Because vinegar should be avoided, mayonnaise and salad dressings also can’t be a regular part of your diet. Instead, you’ll need to focus on eating more fresh vegetables and a variety of meats.
What Food Should You Include In Your Recipes?
Ideally, a candida free recipe will almost always contain three basic food types. These would be meat, vegetables, and a source of complex carbohydrates.
Such recipes typically use ground beef, ground turkey, and ground chicken or even regular meat patties. Those who prefer to avoid meats can of course eat something like tuna or sardines instead.
Now, just because you can indulge in some delicious meat patties, you need to remember that the bread buns are forbidden, so unfortunately hamburgers are out of the question. Smoked meats and pickled meats also need to be avoided, and if possible, cured bacon needs to go as well.

Meat should make up the biggest portion of your meal, followed by vegetables and then carbohydrates. When you prepare your vegetables, you should always try to steam them rather than boil them, in that steamed vegetables tend to retain more nutrients.
When embarking on this type of diet, you should also aim to eat several small meals throughout the course of the day, rather than just two or three large meals. The main reason for spreading your meals out like this is so that you’re able to keep your blood sugar under control.
This approach will also help you to avoid feeling hungry between meals, and if you really must have a snack in between, try to satisfy your cravings by eating raw vegetables or some nuts.
Eating things such as carrot sticks, raw broccoli, celery sticks, and etc. will not only help you to control cravings, but it also helps your body to rid for itself of all the dead and dying yeast cells. Even though fruits are incredibly healthy for you, many of them contain large amounts of sugar, and as such, you’ll need to limit your intake of citrus fruits, and grapes for example.
Lastly but not least, you will really need to say goodbye to some treats because of the amount of sugar they contain. These would for example include the likes of soft drinks, chocolates, maple syrup, honey, and sugar.
